About Us

Joanna Haskova

Let me introduce myself. I am a former SHO from the Royal United Hospital, Bath. Having qualified from Bristol Dental Hospital in 2001 I initially completed 2 years of GPT before moving into the hospital sector and completing the MFDS RCS (Eng). I spent 18 months doing Maxillofacial Surgery and 2 years overall doing residential on-call duties, at Bath RUH, BRI and Southmead Hospitals. I am currently living in London and working as a Specialist Registrar at the Eastman Dental Hospital.

The Oral Medicine, Anatomy revision and Steroid Cover Protocol sections

have recently been updated by Anna Dargue. Anna graduated from Bristol

in 2001. She then spent a year as a VT in Cornwall and two years as a

Maxillofacial SHO in Exeter— which she loved! She is now working as a

Staff Grade in Oral Surgery in Bristol, and hopes to make her career

in this aspect of dentistry.

Paroo Mistry has contributed  ‘Life as an Oral & Maxillofacial SHO’.

Ellen Fingleton has also contributed to the website and was involved in the early development of the site.

This website was first launched in February 2004, following 5 months of intense work to put the 258 pages of this site together. It continues to be updated regularly with new ideas and information.

Also, a very big thank you to Jonathan for all his help and support with the technical side of things! x
