Day Case Selection Criteria |

Nurse pre-assessment should aim to screen out obviously unsuitable patients for surgery. It is not intended that nursing staff should take all responsibility for the medical assessment of patients—that final decision lies with the surgeon and anaesthetist involved in the case. |
